Outcomes:
Getting permits to burn real fires is difficult, and using real fires can be unsafe. This simulator is designed to work with existing fire safety training courses by replacing the “practical burn” section. Trainees were able to use their classroom learning to effectively put out fires in a safe and easy to set up alternative to real fires. Students came away from this training with the essential knowledge that putting out a real fire would have provided. This includes workplace safety, fire basics, and fire extinguisher basics.
