Developed to market Apple’s “Prehistoric Planet” series, these parallax displays were crafted to exhibit captivating landscapes and dinosaurs featured in each episode. These scenes comprised of a central subject and a background that dynamically moved as the camera zoomed in. This simple technique effectively created the sense of three dimensional space by utilizing two dimensional assets.
Three high-resolution videos were generated and tailored for presentation on large scale digital displays. Each video incorporated a distinct parallax effect, skillfully creating the illusion of 3D depth. This approach allowed for each environment to be displayed in a unique way, significantly heightening viewer engagement.
By seamlessly integrating captivating parallax displays, Apple was able to promote their new “Prehistoric Planet” series while maintaining a budget-friendly approach. These displays not only captured viewers’ attention but also enriched the overall experience by infusing a sense of depth into each scene.
