Participants step into the role of a professional Truck Driver, navigating the core responsibilities and safety procedures required on the job. Guided by a narrator, participants begin their shift briefing and receive instruction on using the Electronic Logging Device (ELD), reinforcing compliance and documentation standards from the outset.

The experience opens with a comprehensive vehicle inspection, where participants move around a fully interactive 3D truck to assess critical components using an ELD-based checklist. This task not only builds familiarity with the virtual environment but underscores the importance of pre-trip safety protocols. Throughout the experience, the participant will experience chapters that deliver a realistic, hands-on training experience that emphasizes safety, compliance, operational precision, and confidence behind the wheel.

What you'll experience

  1. Inspection

    Participants complete a detailed pre-trip inspection using the ELD checklist, physically navigating around the truck to assess and confirm each required component.

  2. First Delivery

    Participants practice safely backing the truck into a loading bay, maintaining proper alignment and spatial awareness to position the vehicle accurately within designated lines.

  3. Exchanging Trailers

    Participants perform a full trailer exchange, including lowering the landing gear, unlocking the fifth wheel, disconnecting air and electrical lines, and properly coupling a new trailer. Once secured, they conduct a follow-up inspection to ensure road readiness and safety compliance.

  4. Refueling the Truck

    Participants simulate the refueling process, including payment procedures and proper fueling techniques, reinforcing operational efficiency and safety awareness.

  5. Post-Trip Report

    At the end of the shift, participants complete a post-trip report using the ELD, reviewing their day's activities and submitting required documentation in accordance with industry standards.
